FLAME is currently in Lebanon. Once we find an adopter for her, she will come to Canada.
FLAME is a lovely, affectionate and cuddly lady. She is young and full of energy and very curious about the world around her.
FLAME is a street dog found by the roadside after being hit by a car. She was in agonizing pain and in critical condition. Her rescuer rushed her to the vet. There they found that on top of her injuries caused by a vehicle hitting her, she also had a broken leg. She required surgery. Dr. Roy Hassoun performed the operation and saved FLAME's life.
Her rescuer decided to have her assessed by a trainer to see if she could be adopted. The trainer found her a little fearful and lacking in assertiveness. She doesn't like to be carried. She doesn't display any food aggression. Overall he found FLAME sweet and good with people and dogs.
Personality: Friendly, social with people, social with dogs, affectionate, playful, calm, fearful.
FLAME has never had a home and will need an experienced adopter to housetrain her and help her learn to walk properly on leash. Her rescuer states that she usually starts her walks on leash by pulling as she gets excited to be out of the shelter. Eventually she calms down and walks pretty smoothly. She is smart and enjoys the company of humans. We are sure FLAME will be happy to learn how to live in a comfortable home with people who love her.
FLAME would benefit from a fenced backyard, at least two long walks per day and consistent training to allow her to develop more confidence in her new environment. She is a great dog that would be a good fit for an active household without younger children.
Currently lives at a paid boarding facility in Lebanon. Outdoors with doghouse for shelter.
