Dogs have come to mean so much in our lives. They feel pain, sadness, loneliness, happiness and love. So what is the difference between us and them?

It is in the privilege of helping living beings in pain that has enabled me to persevere through my own, and at the same time allowed me to stay connected to the country I love so much.

I was looking for a way to give back, to give of myself and make a difference. My rescue trip to Lebanon in 2019 changed my life. I am so proud to do this work, it always feels like I am the lucky one.

Growing up I felt hopeless about the situation for animals in Lebanon. Finally I feel like I have the chance to help make a difference thanks to RDL-C

After adopting Cedar and Hazel, I fell in love with this rescue, their values and the great people who work so hard to be the voice for these mistreated animals. I figured if I can't adopt all of them, then I can try to help as many as I can.

I chose to volunteer with RDL-C because during our adoption process we could feel the love, dedication and passion every step of the way. I will always give back to the people who saved Summer!

I adopted Pasha who was rescued in Lebanon. This has opened my eyes to a world I can no longer turn a blind eye to. I try to help however I can.

We help with the RDL-C because we want to be part of something special. To be able to be apart of bring lives together, which other wise would not be possible.

I had not previously been aware that so many dogs in Lebanon were abused and abandoned. I was so grateful for the volunteers' hard work and dedication that made my beautiful Ella's safety and adoption possible that I naturally wanted to join this wonderful team of human beings.

I adopted Patch thanks to RDL-C… and then realized I couldn’t stop thinking about the other pups! Call me the magic sharer! 8months later, I adopted Cello…

I am so grateful to be a part of the RDL-C team and to witness the beautiful adoption journeys. We live in a world where so many abandoned animals are suffering. To the rescuers in Lebanon, you are their heroes.

The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog! They actually don’t know who rescued who!! I owe them the smile on my face and the joy I feel in my heart each and every time I welcome them home.

I wanted to give of my time and help the organization that saved my own rescue dog, Winnie. I discovered a team of amazing volunteers and I love being a part of it.

You can’t change a dog’s past, but you can rewrite his future”. Little did I know that when I adopted two dogs from Lebanon that they would change my life and introduce me to an amazing family of rescuers and adopters. To be able to help those beings that need us to be their voice brings me so much happiness.

After my first adoptive dog passed away at 17.5 years old, there was an immense void. Volunteering with RDL-C is the most rewarding experience - giving a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves, helping voiceless animals on their journey to a safer, happier life.
