SKYE is in Canada and ready for adoption. Note that it would be nice if SKYE and ANTAR are adopted together but their current owner is open to have them separated if the right adopter comes along.SKYE is a very friendly, quirky girl. She is playful and makes her family laugh. She loves to walk but gets tired quickly because of her short legs. She is friendly with people and other dogs and her owner says he can walk her off leash in the woods without any issues (though we would recommend not doing so until SKYE is bonded to her new adopter).SKYE was trained in Lebanon by a shady trainer who favored using E-collars excessively which caused her some trauma. She was adopted by a family that loved her very much and still does. Unfortunately, after having a baby, they find they cannot spend as much time with her. SKYE used to go for 4 walks daily for a total of 3 hours. She is not getting as much exercise and has gained some weight and her owner says he finds SKYE looks sad and depressed.Personality: Friendly, social with people, social with dogs, affectionate, playful, licker, trusting, curious, likes to chase, prone to wander, active/energetic.SKYE would benefit from an experienced adopter who will give her the time to decompress as the transition from her current family to which she is greatly attached will be difficult for SKYE. She will need someone who is patient. She would benefit from a fenced backyard and an active lifestyle.Currently lives in a home with her owner and family.
