JOSIE
JOSIE
JOSIE is currently in Lebanon. Once we find an adopter for her, she will come to Canada.
JOSIE is a very sweet but nervous girl. It takes time for her to warm up to new people but once she does, she is very playful and affectionate.
JOSIE had a family. The war came to southern Lebanon and JOSIE's family abandoned her when they left their home. Another family in the area found her and took care of her until RDL-C took over her care.
During her vet check, we found out she had mammary gland cancer. JOSIE was also pregnant. To prevent the cancer from spreading, her pregnancy had to be terminated and her mammary glands removed. RDL-C did not hesitate and we covered the cost of her treatment and surgery. We are happy to say JOSIE is cancer free today.
Personality: Friendly, social with people, social with dogs, affectionate, playful.
JOSIE is nervous/anxious when in new situations or meeting new people. She is curious about the people she meets but also hesitant. One minute she will allow a hand to stroke her fur and the next, she is shrinking away. She will need a patient adopter who will give her time to adapt to her new surroundings. A quiet household is preferable.
Currently lives at a paid boarding/shelter facility.
